Oh la la, Parisian vegan shoe company Good Guys' colourful SS12 collection reminds me of Popsicles & ice cream. Mmm those both so happen to be two of my favourite things about summer. I so can't wait for their desert boot in aqua to be available for purchase. According to GG's Facebook page they should have their online shop up and running by the end of Janurary. The shop will have shipping to the USA which I hope means they'll also have shipping to the Great White North!

It is getting cold out! Time to pull out the scarves, mittens and coats. I live in Northern CA and the temps do not drop low enough to bring snow but I get cold pretty easily. Finding a coat is hard for me - 1.) why do coats have to be wool blended?!? 2.) I am busty - finding a coat that fits my body type is hard. 3.) My arms are very long and feel awkward in some jackets - I usually layer hoodies and cardigans to keep me warm. I have problems here - I am sure you do too! I hope these cozy pics work out for you! PS - I know it is the holiday season and spoiling yourself is often out of the question with so many gifts to buy - all my picks are under $75!

5. Mossimo Polka Dot Raincoat - I hate the rain - but love this rain jacket - it is too cute! (up to a size 2X)

I am a size 14, 5'10" size 11 shoe wearing vegan - which does not seem to be a problem until I go looking for vegan companies making clothing that fits me and those bigger than me. Did I miss the memo that stated to be vegan you must be a size 6 or smaller? I am bummed that more vegan companies do not make clothing that will fit me - I would so rock a sweet cardigan that said vegan on it or some vegan certified shoes that fit my big feet!Being a plus size (or in my case I feel trapped between standard and plus - which is OK) does not mean you have to go naked or wear stuff that goes against your animal ethics! Here are some fall/winter trends that you can rock at any size!

1. Colorblock Tie Waist Dress

Color blocking - not just a catch term if you watch Project Runway! This dress has the colors of fall balanced perfectly!The tie around your waist will cinch you in - making your waist look narrow!

2. Faux-Leather Moto Jackets

A (faux) leather jacket is a classic! It can jazz up or tame an outfit and goes with a lot! I am more of a hoodie girl but know a closet staple when I see one!

3.Evans D Ring Strap Ankle Boots

Everyone needs a pair of kick butt boots in their closet. My dilemma is that my big feet do not match up with my small calves - meaning boots flop on me. If your legs do not match up with your feet try booties - they make the sizing gap less obvious!

4. Purple Virtual Stretch London Skinny Jean

Colored denim is big now! If you are afraid to rock a super strong color go for a wash of color. These purple tinted jeans are a step up from blue. I have been rocking a pair of these lately and really like them!

5. Lulu Lepoard Print Dress

You cannot go wrong with leopard - animal print is hot! Show that you can wear an animal print without it actually being the flesh of an animal! I am a big fan of retro looks and leopard should be my middle name!

After 3 seasons of drooling over Vaute Couture's winter coats I decided to take the plunge and pre-order myself one. While all the styles in their new FW11/12 collection are amazing I became torn between my two favourites, the Emily and the Lincoln. They're both long, hooded and perfect for Toronto winters. However after a good nights sleep I decided that my heart truly belonged to the Emily in black. I think it will look fabulous with the turquoise cowl I bought on etsy last winter. I'm super excited about my new winter coat and so can't wait to get it!

Last night I watch a documentary about Uk youth who gallivanted around London during the interwar years (1920's & 1930's), the press of their time dubbed them the Bright Young People. They were the first generation of youth that were determine to carve out a unique culture of their own by embodying all that was new and avant-garde. They really were the original teenagers and some even say they lead the way for modern day celebrity. Many of the Bright Young People's members became famous merely for their scandalous and decadent behavior. They provocatively danced to jazz, excessively drank, indulged in hard drugs, dressed to the nines, spent beyond their means, threw excessive parties and made it their business to shock both their parents and stuffy post WWI London society. However like all things eventually do their short but extravagant reign came to an end around the start of World War II. The Polyvore set below is inspired by these once Bright Young People. I really really love the drop waist dress!

Orange & Spearmint - Bubbling Bath Melt

After a rather busy day I tossed this melt into a hot bath jumped in, sat back and took it all in. After I emerged from the tub I was über relaxed, smelt like orange and had super soft skin. All three results lasted several hrs. Love, love, love this bath melt and I can't wait to try more of HerbZones vegan bath melts.

Cinnamon & Orange Natural Soap

I've been using this soap for about a month and I love it. I always come out of the tub or shower feeling refreshed, smelling sweet and my skin is always super soft. After a month I still have so much soap left that I haven't had a chance to try the other natural soap I order yet. So you'll just have to stay tuned for a review of the Magnolia & Rose Geranium natural soap.

Orange & Spearmint - Epsom Salt Mineral Soak

After I used this mineral soak I felt relaxed and revived. I also smelt like orange & spearmint, yum! This soak is defiantly going to come in handy this winter and I'm super stoked about using it to combat the up coming cold, wet and gloomy winter days.

Hand & Foot Butter: Peppermint & Eucalyptus and Neroli & Rose Geranium

For a girl that has dry hands & rough feet these butters are now both my go to hand & foot moisturizers. They both smell fabulous, are super creamy and long lasting. Which in my books are all an A+++. If you want relief from dry hands & rough feet then you must get your hands on some of HerbZone's Hand & Foot Butters.

Lemon & Tangerine - Bath, Shower & Massage Oil

This stuff is great you can either add a cap full to a hot bath or rub a little into your skin after a shower. It makes your skin feel extra soft and smooth for hrs. It also leaves you smelling awesome for hrs too. Which is perfect for those hot humid days that sometimes don't leave you smelling your best. Just use a little of this oil & you'll stay fresh as a daisy despite the heat for hrs. This oil has come in very handy for me with this summers break into a sweat while standing still kind of weather. Love it!

It’s full of fun tees, hoodies & bags for both men & women that are printed with hand illustrated graphics by the shop’s founder & designer Chiara (with the help of her boyfriend Lorenzo). Some of Chiara’s illustrations have a vegan message while, others are just adorable little random characters she’s dreamed up. All of her pieces are made with respect to people, animals and the planet. Chiara is currently trying to raise funds to help grow her little vegan business and you can checkout this video below to learn all about her fund raising campaign.
