I Want: Coyote Dangle Earrings

I love the design of these new statement earrings from sustainable jewelry line Kyler by Joy O. They come in 3 sizes; xsmall, small & medium and 3 finishes; raw recycled steel, zinc coated recycled steel & 24 karat gold coated recycled steel. I'm partial to the medium zinc coated pair.

Fashion History: The Cloche

The Cloche hat was designed in 1908 by milliner Caroline Reboux. It became the epitome of fashion in the 1920's, a time when not wearing a hat outside your home was considered a faux pas. The shape of the Cloche had a huge influence on woman's hairstyles in the 1920's. Hairstyles like the Bob Cut & the Eaton Crop worn by many women in the Roaring Twenties helped to showcase the Cloches fitted bell shape. Many large Couture houses of the time even designed Cloche hats to perfectly match their clothing lines. Originally Cloches were made from felt which we all know is not very vegan friendly, however fear not I found a milliner on etsy that makes a few of them out of linen (with vintage buckles!). So if like me you've been longing to own a vegan version of this swell hat then just head on over to Bonnies Knitting to see what she has listed. The red linen one featured below is the cat's pajamas!

SS11: Navajo

Here's some great Navajo inspired cruelty free fashion items that are prefect for the Spring/Summer 2011 season. I totally dig the use of natural earth tones mixed in with bright bold colours. I love the Melie Bianco bucket bag!

Vegan Shoes: Braided Sandals

I'm looking forward to the day it will be warm enough here in Toronto to break out the sandals. I would love to take a stroll in these braided beauties from LuLu*s vegan selection.
