Thrifty Eco Chic: Vintage Vera Scarves

My trade by day is graphic/textile designer. I've been working in the world of fashion for about 9 years now and I have a huge appreciation and love for textile design. One textile designer I admire from fashion's past is Vera Neumann. Vera Neumann designed beautiful bold textile prints for mostly scarves for over 40 years. All of her prints were hand drawn/painted and then hand silk screened. A lot of her scarves were originally made from silk (excess parachute silk from WWII) but over the years they were also made from acetate, polyester and other synthetic materials. Below are only a few of the fabulous synthetic vintage Vera scarves that I found on etsy. I would love to add any one of these affordable beautiful scarves to my wardrobe. Their bright bold shapes and colours make them a perfect accessory for Spring. They are the epitome of eco chic!
