Diamonds like fur I think are always better faux. Or maybe that's just me being too "modern". Yes I was actually called that once. It was back in my novice days as a vegan so it was around 2002. This comment really stuck with me because I wasn't sure if the person who called me this was trying to insult me or complement me. However now 9yrs later I've decided if being "modern" means I'm conscious about what I buy & eat then I'll take it as a compliment. I have no problem going against the social norms to eating & shopping like I give a damn. Also being vegan means more then just caring about animals, human rights & animals rights will always go hand in hand. So for this "modern" girl faux diamonds it is. However if you are a diamond girl & read this blog I'm sure you're conscious & ethical about where you would buy them. Fifi Bijoux for example is a jewelry shop that specializes in ethical (real) diamonds & gold. For faux diamonds etsy is a great place to get your fix.
